This is a very quick and simple recipe

Get a pot and add

100g Butter

100g Brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon


2 diced cooking apples

Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla

Cook in sugar until softened

Place blueberries into a bowl and top with some sugar.

For the cobbler

2cups self raising flour

1 cup white sugar

2 eggs

1 cup of softened butter

½ cup Oats (optional)

Combine all the above. It will resemble a dough

You can make this vegan by substituting with a vegan vegetable spread

I have added some oats to the cobbler mix to add an additional texture, this is optional. Get your fingers into the mix. Feel your food.

Once the apple have softened add the blueberries and take off the heat.

You can use either fresh or frozen blueberries. Add the blueberries and apple mixture into a baking dish. Then take the cobbler mixture and drop it onto the top of the fruit, a bit at a time. It will look rough but come out beautiful looking like a cobble street., sprinkle with a touch of cinnamon on the top,.Place into the oven 350 degrees, 200c bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until the center is not soft to the touch and a knife comes out clean.
